All vent covers are listed by filter size. (Standard filter size is 1 inch thick, if you have thicker than a 1 inch filter please note at checkout.)
The rough opening of the hole, stud to stud, should be 1/2 inch bigger than the filter you use. (Ex: 20 x 30 x 1 filter = 20 1/2 x 30 1/2 rough opening of hole.)
If the current vent cover touches anything around it please note at checkout. There is a 1 1/2 inch outside flange on each side. (The total outside dimensions of a Fancy Vent will be approximately 3 inches bigger than the filter size, ex: 20 x 30 x 1 filter = 23 x 33 outside dimensions.)

Sirs: I installed our new Fancy Vent today and we could not be happier! The quality and workmanship is excellent. Installation could not have been easier . It fit perfect. Your company had to strip down the bottom to clear the bottom molding. In this day and age of anything customized to any degree, almost certainly means multiple returns, I want to thank you for doing it right the first time!…Many Thanks and I know we will get complements on our new vent.
