All vent covers are listed by filter size. (Standard filter size is 1 inch thick, if you have thicker than a 1 inch filter please note at checkout.)
The rough opening of the hole, stud to stud, should be 1/2 inch bigger than the filter you use. (Ex: 24 x 30 x 1 filter = 24 1/2 x 30 1/2 rough opening of hole.)
If the current vent cover touches anything around it please note at checkout. There is a 1 1/2 inch outside flange on each side. (The total outside dimensions of a Fancy Vent will be approximately 3 inches bigger than the filter size, ex: 24 x 30 x 1 filter = 27 x 33 outside dimensions.)

Excellent product and customer service. I order two 20 X 30 Heathers and got them home and realized I had ordered the wrong size. Fancy Vents was great to take them back and then expedited my new order for the correct size…24 X 30 !!
